How to Determine Middle Jack Placement of Lippert Ground Control 3.0

Question:

I just purchased the ground control 3.0 6 point set. I have a 2013 Sabre by Palamino Forest river. The instructions say that the middle jacks should be about 12 inches in front of the wheels Hanger Bracket. due things in the way I cannot place them there. How far forward is acceptable? about 48 inches is where I think I can mount them. I was able to mount the rear jacks about 19 inches behind the wheels. The distance between the rear and front jacks is right about 19.5 to 20 ft. The trailer gross weight is just below 15,000 pounds. So technically I dont need the middle jacks but bought it thinking it would be a little more stable. Is there a way to program the controller to not get an error if the middle jacks are not hooked up?

I spoke with a representative of Lippert concerning the installation of the middle jacks on your Lippert Ground Control 3.0 - 6-Point Set # LC675817 and was told that there is not a set distance. What you will need to do is run a string line like in the directions (see accompanying photo) and the middle jacks when retracted must be above that line. So depending on the measurement of that string it might be possible for you to mount the middle jacks 48 inches forward.

I also asked about programming the controller so you would not get an error code if the middle jacks are not hooked up and was told you would not be able to do this because you have the control module for the 6-point system. The only way you would be able to do this is with Replacement Control Module for Lippert Ground Control 3.0 Electric Leveling System # LC304136, which is the module used with the Ground Control 3.0 4-Point System # LC358590.
