Can the Lippert Trailer Shock Kit be Used with the Dexter Over-Under Conversion Kit?
Question:
Can the Lipper Shock Kit be used with the Dexter Over-under Conversion Kit?
asked by: Nate
Expert Reply:
The Lippert Components Bolt-On Shock Kit w/ Heavy Duty Gas Shocks - 3,500-lb (2-3/8") Axle # LC281255 is compatible with the Dexter Trailer Springs Over-Under Conversion Kit # K71-384-00. This over-under kit
If you have 3 inch axles ( lbs) then you will use # K71-385-00 and # LC281281.
The over-under kit will give you the spring seat locations needed but will give you parts that the Lippert shock kit will duplicate. If you want to weld on spring seats, you can use # TRSS300 or # TRSS238 instead and not have the extra parts, but that does require welding where the Dexter Over-Under Conversion does not.
