How to Pick Out Ball Mount for Lifted Truck Towing Trailer
Question:
What length would you recommend for a 2017 Ford F-150 with a 6inch lift on it for pulling a Tandem axle trailer ??

Expert Reply:
The amount of drop that a ball mount needs is based on two measurements. The distance from the top of the hitch opening to the ground and from the bottom of the coupler lip to the ground on the trailer. Comparing those two dimensions will get you the amount of drop you need. The other option is to go with an adjustable ball mount which is also helpful for future trailers as well.
We have the B and W Tow and Stow ball mount part # BWTS10049B which can do up to 7 inches of drop and comes with all three popular hitch ball sizes as well. The platform can also flip around so it's out of the way when not in use as well.
I attached a help article on how to pick out the correct ball mount for you to check out too.
