Adapter to Connect 4-Way on Car to 7-Way on Trailer
Question:
Do they make an adapter for trailers with 7 way plug for this harness?

Helpful Expert Reply:
There is an adapter available for the Hopkins Plug-In Simple Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # HM43125 that fits your 2013 Honda Ridgeline.
All you need is the Adapter 4 Pole to 7 Pole Vehicle End Trailer Connector # 30717; you can just plug this into the 4-way and tie off the additional wires you are not using.
I strongly recommend using Dielectric Grease # LT37534 to help stop any corrosion between the two connectors. You will also want to use Mounting Brackets # 18138 with # 18140 to mount the 7-way to your Ridgeline's trailer hitch. I have added a link to a video review which shows exactly how you will use the brackets.
