After the CURT hitch is installed, what is the clearance between the ground and the lowest part of the hitch assembly?

When we installed the Curt hitch part # C11333 on a 2013 Mini Countryman similar to your 2015 model we found that from the top of the hitch opening to the ground measured 10 inches. That would mean from the bottom of the hitch to the ground would measure 8-1/2 inches.
