Does the Reese Quick-Install Custom Installation Kit Part # RP50066-58 Require Drilling
Question:
Hello, I have a 2018 Chev 2500 HD, 6foot 6inch bed. I want to know if either of these model 5th wheel hitches require drilling in the frame for their respective frame rails. If not, please state the model number so I can place an order. Thank you in advance for your response.

In order to mount a 5th wheel hitch on your 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 with the 6-1/2' bed, I recommend using the Reese Quick-Install Custom Installation Kit part # RP50066-58. You will not need to drill into the frame in order to use these brackets as they install in pre drilled holes. You will however need to drill into the bed to attach the brackets to the rails but there will be no way around this.
