The T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118572 should be compatible with your 2011 VW Golf Wagon if you hardwire the connections but it has not been tested to confirm.
The confirmed fit for your 2011 VW Golf Wagon is the ZCI Circuit Protected Vehicle Wiring Harness w/ 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector and Installation Kit # 119250KIT which will give the exact same maximum amperage for the Stop/Turn lights at 4.2 amps and Tail lights at 7.5 amps. The modulates offer the same protection and amperage, so the difference is really in the splicing. This harness is compatible with multiplex wiring, so I recommend testing your wiring using a circuit tester like # 3808 to confirm function only with those features prior to installation if you decide to attempt the hardwiring. Because it is not tested, I can't confirm that it will protect your vehicle electronics in the same way as the confirmed fit ZCI harness # 119250KIT.
