If you are just needing a 7-Way to activate the lights on your trailer then you will simply need to use the Hopkins # 37185 that you referenced along with a No-Drill Mount Bracket # 18140 as depicted at the start of the attached installation video on a 2011 Ford F-150.
For a fully functioning 7-Way that has power to the Brake Controller and 12V Power you will simply need some Deka Jacketed 2 Wire # 10-2-1 and Butt Connectors # DW05745-5. You will want to splice the Blue wire from the adapter to the brake controller wire and the Black wire from the adapter to the 12V power wire; both of which are located near the spare tire on your F-150. The White wire on the adapter is your ground and the Purple is auxiliary.
To install a brake controller to your 2017 Ford F-150 you will need a brake controller, like the Prodigy P3 # 90195, with the correct Adapter # 22292 for it as well. The connector on your F-150 is located in your instrument cluster finish panel. You can try reaching under the dash on your driver side and up behind the panel to remove the connector but if you cannot reach it you will need to remove the panel like our installer did in the linked video.
