I have included a picture showing how the parts of gooseneck coupler # GC-HEAD go together. They would be welded to the coupler tube in this configuration. Welding should be done by a professional welder. There are no specific instructions for the install.

Yes, you could weld the 2-5/16" Gooseneck Coupler Head #291300 to the bottom of a 3 inch outer diameter tube. Check out the picture I attached that shows the dimensions of this coupler.
