What is Needed to Install a 7-Way on a 2008 Chrysler Town & Country
Question:
I would like to install a 7 way plug on a 2008 Chrysler Town and Country. It doesnt have factory trailer wiring. Do I need to install the 4 way flat and then install the 7 way adapter or is there a product that will give me the 7 way?

To install a 7-way on your 2008 Chrysler Town and Country you will first need to install the Tow Ready Custom Fit Vehicle Wiring # 118552 that you referenced. I attached installation instructions and an installation video for you to check out.
If there are not trailer brakes on the trailer you plan on towing you could just use a 4-way to 7-way adapter like a Pollak 7 Pole to 4 Pole Connector Adapter # PK12716 and you would be ready to go.
If you have trailer brakes you will need to install an Brake Controller 7 & 4 Way Installation Kit # ETBC7. This will give you a fully functional 7-way at the rear of your vehicle, and with a brake controller installed it will operate the brakes on your trailer. I attached installation instructions and an installation video for you to check out also.
If you do not have a brake controller I would recommend you get a Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Brake Controller # 90885. This is our best selling controller because of how well it works and how it easy it is to setup.
