Recommended 5th Wheel Rails and Brackets for 2017 Ram 1500 Short Bed

Hi I am looking for the right kit for the no drill fifth wheel brackets along with rails for my truck. I am not sure what the best one it.

For your 2017 Ram 1500 I recommend the Reese Quick-Install Custom Installation Kit # RP50142-58. This kit is confirmed to fit your truck and includes custom brackets that will use existing holes in the Ram's frame. This eliminates the need to drill into the frame of your truck and drastically cuts down on installation time when compared to universal kits. The industry-standard fifth-wheel base rails are also included that will be compatible with almost any hitch on the market.

If you are still needing a hitch and your Ram has the 6-1/2 foot bed, I recommend taking a look at the Curt A16 # C16521. This is a really nice hitch that features an interlocking 2-jaw system to provide excellent contact with the trailer king pin and 12 inches of slider travel to help with making tight turns with your short bed truck. It has a 16,000 pound towing weight capacity.
