Will Powerbuilt Digital Torque Adapter be Used With Socket Size Adapter?

Question:

I am getting the 1-7/8inch 12pt Socket - 3/4inch Drive - Chromium-Vanadium Steel to put the ball on a WD hitch. I will need an adapter because I dont have a 3/4inch socket. Will the digital torque adapter work even if I put a socket size adapter on my socket wrench?
