Using the Curt WD Shank 17120 along with a WD Head and 2 inch Hitch Ball for a 10K Towing Setup
Question:
I am trying to determine which hitch heads will fit this. I have curt 45008, but need something with a 2inch ball rated for at least 10k lbs. more is better. I also want the overall length to be as long as possible. I am ok with using a weight distribution head without the bars if that is what I need to do. I would like to be able to retain the ability to adjust height if needed. Thanks for your input,

The Curt Weight Distribution Shank # 17120 that you referenced will work perfectly with the Replacement Head for Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution Systems # EQ90-02-1000 and the Curt 2" Hitch Ball # A-90 to essentially give you a 10K adjustable ball mount. All 3 components are rated for at least 10,000 lbs and the Equal-i-zer head is compatible with the adjustment holes on the Curd shank and with the Curt hitch ball.
To ensure that the Equal-i-zer head will sit level you will need to also use the Replacement Spacer Rivet and Washers for Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution Head # EQ95-01-9450. A Thin Walled Socket # ALL643216 will make installing the hitch ball easier due to the close tolerances of the weight distribution head.
Unless you are just using this 10K setup to make sure that you are well beyond the weight capacity needed to tow your trailer, you will need to make sure that your trailer coupler can handle 10K lbs as well.
