Can Dutton-Lainson StrongArm Electric Winch DL24876 be Used with a JetSki Lift

Question:

Can i mount the part # DL24876 outdoors on my jet ski lift? I need to replace my 1500lb hand c4ank with an electric version....is the part # DL24876 what i need or is there anoth version around 2000lb that i can mount outdoors on my lift?

Dutton-Lainson states:

"Special care should be taken with 120-volt AC winches, as with any other 120-volt tools. It is recommended that whenever a 120-volt AC winch is out-of-doors that it be used with a ground fault circuit interrupter (GFI outlet)."

It goes on to say not to use it in the rain or if it is wet. They also state that the winch is great for watercraft lifts. So provided the winch is not getting wet it will work great for your application. this is going to pretty much be the standard warning for AC winches.

Your Dutton Lainson 1802A winch attaches using a very standard style bolt pattern. The Dutton-Lainson TW400 StrongArm #DL25200 also attaches to the same universal style winch attachment bolt pattern so it would work well as a replacement.
