Measuring to Determine Height From Ground to Hitch 76127 on 2018 GMC Terrain Diesel

Question:

I have a GMC Terrain Diesel and have been researching available hitches. Im seeing a few different designs that seem to indicate they could have very different ground clearance heights once they are installed. Can you tell me how high off of the ground the hitch will be once installed for the one you sell here? Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2inch - 76217

We do have some information that should help, though we have not had a chance to test fit the Draw-Tite # 76217 on a 2018 GMC Terrain as of yet (June 2018). The hitch, which is the only one listed as a fit for an '18 Terrain with a diesel, does measure 11-3/8" from the bottom of your Terrain's frame to the lowest point of the hitch, which is the safety chain holes.

What you can do is get under your Terrain and measure from the frame to the ground, then subtract 11-3/8" you will know how much distance there is going to be from the ground to the bottom of the hitch.
