Setting the Target Height for the Curt TruTrack Weight Distribution System # C17500
Question:
Just to clarify, On the C17500 instruction sheet it reads For passenger cars, add 1/8 inch for each 100 lbs. of tongue weight. There is no mention of adding height for trucks. Is that correct? I have a 2005 Toyota Tundra Double Cab, so no additional height is to be added while setting the Target Height? Thanks!

Expert Reply:
That is correct. Pickups like your 2005 Toyota Tundra are built with the purpose of towing in mind so they are better equipped than passenger vehicles for towing. Since you are using a Tundra you will not need to add the extra 1/8" per 100 lbs of tongue weight.
