Step 3 states: Determine the target uncoupled ball height for the tow vehicle The tow vehicles uncoupled ball height will be set higher than the coupler height measured in Step 1 to allow for vehicle squat when coupled to the trailer. For cars, vans and small SUVs, add 1/8inch for each 100 lbs. of tongue weight. Record ball height____________ It mentions 1/8inch adjustment for cars, vans and small SUVs. What height or adjustment should be used for Pickups? Mine is a 2021 Ford F150 Lariat

Since you are installing your Curt TruTrack Weight Distribution System # C17500 on your 2021 Ford F-150 truck you will not use step 3. This step is only required for cars, vans and small SUV's as their suspension is not intended for towing with a weight distribution hitch and will squat more.
You will set your ball height as close as possible to the coupler height of your level trailer.
