Parts Needed to Flat Tow 2015 Chevy Silverado 2500
Question:
What equipment do you recommend for flat towing the above vehicle. I have heard only good things about the roadmaster tow bars.

We have everything needed to flat tow your 2015 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD behind an RV, including a nice selection of Roadmaster Tow Bars. In order to tow your truck with all four wheels on the ground, you will need a base plate kit, tow bar, safety cables, a lighting solution, and a supplemental braking system.
Starting with the base plates, I recommend the Roadmaster MX Base Plate Kit # 3167-3. This base plate kit is confirmed to fit your Silverado and features a nice hidden bracket design for a clean look when you aren't towing. Please just note that if your model Silverado is equipped with tow hooks, they will need to be removed for installation.
For a compatible tow bar, I highly recommend the Roadmaster BlackHawk 2 # RM-422. This is an excellent, non-binding tow bar that features a self-aligning design to ease hookup and extra-long telescoping arms that will allow for better maneuverability on the road. It has a 10,000 pound weight capacity. For safety cables you can use the Roadmaster 80 Inch # RM-653.
For tow bar wiring/lighting solution, I recommend the Roadmaster Diode Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267. This diode kit will let you wire your Silverado to accept the RV's tail, brake, and turn signal lights for flat towing. It includes a 6-Way connector that you will install at the front of the truck and enough coiled wiring to go from there to the 7-Way on the RV. Since you need to disconnect your truck's battery for flat towing (you can refer to your owner's manual to verify this), you can add the Quick Battery Disconnect # RM-766 to make this process as easy as flipping a switch. Just note that this Quick Disconnect cannot be used on Diesel model trucks or those with dual batteries.
Then, for a supplemental braking system, I really like the Blue Ox Patriot II # BLU37TR. This proportional system will physically press down on the brakes in your truck at the same time and with the same intensity that you apply to them in the RV.
Finally, you will likely need a high-low adapter in order to keep your tow bar level. I have attached a great artical that explains how to choose the best one for your setup, along with a link that will take you to our available selection. I have also included a couple articles on flat towing that you might find helpful.
