The correct B&W above bed 5th wheel install kit for your 2004 Dodge Ram 2500 is the B&W Custom Installation Kit w/ Base Rails for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches part # BWRVK2600. There are currently no reviews of this product on our site; however, I can assure you that B&W products are one of the best in the industry. They are all made right here in the U.S.A. and come with a lifetime warranty.
The reason you do not see any reviews on the above bed install kit is the majority of customers prefer to use the under bed mount kit part # BWGNRK1313-5W which also doubles as a gooseneck hitch. They then use the B&W Companion part # BWRVK3400-5W for short beds or part # BWRVK3500 for long beds. You can take a look at some of the reviews for these products to give you a better sense of B&W's quality.
I would not have any concerns using the B&W above bed install kit. It is a custom fit for your Ram 2500 and will not require any drilling into the frame rail.
