Replacement Motor and Diagram for Ventline Vanair Trailer Roof Vent

Question:

i have one installed already in my trailer, mud dobbers got in an plugged my fan i turned on now after cleaning out mud.i have removed handle an the screen ,so when i push button it will run if i help turn fan,it turns off ok, it has 13.25 volts to motor. so i figure it needs motor replaced. my question is it looks like hard to remove fan off motor shaft cause i pulled on it from on top.and if i do get it off it mat be hard to align the shaft on fan spline.so i thought instead of wasting money getting just a new motor,i get complete fan kit for $65.00 an now my question is can i disconnect the motor wires after loosening the handle and removing the screen from the bottom of trailer, then go up top remove black cover with 2 screws, then how do i get the fan and the motor out as a assembly so i can slip back in a new motor an fan still attached from factory? looks like maybe by pushing from bottom up the two brackets that the handle is attached to push it all the way up with old fan an motor attached up an out.reversing new install of motor an fan,the hook wires finish install screen an handle. hope you understand my explanation. thank so much

The correct replacement motor for the Vanair Roof Vent part # VP-543SP that you referenced is the part # BVD0218-00. I attached a diagram that covers how it all comes apart for you to check out which should help you in getting out the old vent to install the new one.

I also attached install instructions for the motor for additional reference although you may not need them.
