Ball Mount Options that Have Sway Control Ball Mounting Tab
Question:
I am looking at sway controls for my travel trailer. I under stand that you bolt a ball onto the trailer a-frame for one end. How do you mount the ball on the hitch end? Do i need to purchase a new unit that fits into my receiver? I have not done this before.

Some draw bars will have the sway bar ball attachment mounted to the side of the ball mount platform like the Curt Ball Mount part # D320. Other options include using an adapter like part # RP26003 which fits on top of the platform between it and the hitch ball.
Or you can have the tab welded to the side of the platform with part # 3442.
We also have an adjustable ball mount part # 7390 which allows for various drop/rise settings and has the platform for the sway control ball.
With any of these options you'd be able to use a friction sway control unit like the part # 83660.
