Will Curt Weight Distribution Hitch # C17057 Fit 2 inch Hitch of 2013 Ford F-150
Question:
I have a 2013 Ford F150 XLT Supercrew 4wd 5.5 box. My question is can my stock 2inch x 2inch hitch handle your hitch item# C17057 and a trailer tongue weight of 1379 lbs? Unique situation... I bought a 2018 Sandpiper 393RL trailer similar to a Park Model I only need the ability to pull it off of our lot and down the road to high ground aprox 4 miles when we experience high water once or twice a year Tongue weight on the trailer is 1379 lbs and the trailer itself is 13,000+

Expert Reply:
The Curt weight distribution system part # C17057 that you referenced is designed to fit a 2 inch trailer hitch like what you have at the rear of your 2013 Ford F-150 5-1/2 foot bed. That doesn't necessarily mean your vehicle is going to safely be able to tow a trailer with that much weight though. You'll need to check your owners manual or with a Ford dealer to find out what your towing capacities are.
