Trailer Hitch Receiver for 2015 Toyota Corolla LE

Im a bit confused. My owners manual for a 2015 Toyota corolla says that the car can not tow a trailer. yet many are available. My question is it safe to pull a light trailer with this car or am I opening myself up for trouble if anything ever happened?

When an owners manual states not to tow a trailer, that is our recommendation. The vehicle manufacturer will not cover any issues to the motor or transmission if you have issues. The hitch receiver and wiring will work for bike racks or cargo carriers with lighted accessories if you so desire.

If you choose to add a trailer hitch receiver for those abilities, I recommend the Draw-Tite Sportframe Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class I - 1-1/4" # 24913. I've attached a video of this installation for you. It will fit 2003 through 2018 Toyota Corolla models and I believe some of those models allow light towing.
