Installing MaxxFan Plus in New Travel Trailer
Question:
Hello. We recently purchased a new Travel Trailer 2018 that has 2 MAXXFANs installed with MAXXFAN FANATE covers. We would like upgrade to the MAXXFAN PLUS model. I understand we would need to remove the installed units from the roof since the mounting bases are integrated but was curious whether the mounting holes would line-upinch on the new Plus model rather than having to create new holes through the roof. We are assuming the interior trim ring would be reusable as well. Any help/guidance you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

All you will need to install the MaxxFan Plus # MA00-04500K vent and fan is a standard 14" x 14" opening and roof that is between 2" and 6-1/2" thick. Since your trailer came with a pair of MaxxFans already it is a very good bet your current vents are installed in an opening that size.
Though it is not possible to know if the mounting holes will line up as I am unsure of the model number of your current MaxxFans, the MaxxFan Plus does come with the needed garnish (instead of using your old one) and hardware for install. The only thing you do need is Sealant # 0160297 and the install should be simple, as you can see in the instructions I've linked for you.
