Availability of 5,200 lb Trailer Axle with 74 inches Between Spring Seats
Question:
I have a bad axles but the hubs are not available to put on. It is 74 inches hole to hole, but where else can I measure without the hubs on to determine the length before I order this axle. It had 8 lug hubs on it but guy who sold it stated it was a 5200 lb axle

To pick out replacement axles you need a few pieces of info. You need the capacity like you mentioned, you need the hub face to hub face dimension and you need the spring seat to spring seat dimension as well. With that info you can determine what you'd need.
For example, if the 74 inch dimension you listed was from the spring seat to seat dimension and you needed 89 inches from hub face to hub face you'd want the # 8327820-EB which comes with hub/drums and brake assemblies.
