Troubleshooting Trailer Wheels that Toe Out Toward the Front
Question:
Hello, I recently purchased 2 of these axles with the EZspindle attached. I just finished installing both axles and I noticed that when looking at the axles from head on, the very back axle wheels are pointed straight towards the front and the nearest axles closest to front wheels are pointed slightly outward toed out towards the front. Obviously the bend in the axle helps for heavy loads, but nothing is loaded on the trailer yet, Is it possible that when the EZspindle/plate on either end of the axle were welded on, that they were not welded on properly. I cannot think of any other reason of why my wheels on that axle would toefoot out toward the front. The only thing I can think of is that the plates on either end of the axle were not welded perfectly straight. Someone suggested to me that I may have received a bad axle. Please let me know what I should do..

Sounds like a problem with the suspension. Check the suspension for worn out components are holes that are egg-shaped instead of round where the suspension components come together.
Having your trailer checked is a good idea to verify there are no broken parts such as the axle or springs.
I would recommend looking for a company that sells trailers and/or RVs and has a service department. These guys will probably have the most comprehensive hands on experience with your issue. The other option is going to an automobile alignment shop. I would call ahead to make sure someone there is knowledgeable about trailers.
