Can 2014 Forest River XLR Hyper Lite Upgrade to 5,200 lb Axles
Question:
i checked with people that have the axle less system and a few said they would rather have the axle type again, because of the installation and alignment problems they ran into and that the RV frame was not rigid even with even the bar to handle heavy loads in turning , one even said after a year his trailer looked like the back of a old super beetle going down the road with one tire pointing in, not much said but i cant see this holding up ether and it dont look reliable to me at all so is there a set of springs or a add a spring that would work with my setup

You definitely can replace your 4,400 lb axles with 5,200 lb axles that use leaf springs like what you currently have. 5,200 lb axles are actually more common than 4,400 so this would not be a big deal at all. It's really just a matter of picking out the correct dimension axles.
You will need to measure from hub face to hub face and then from the spring seat centers. You will also need to know what bolt pattern you have on your current hubs. I attached a help article on how to determine this as well.
I also attached a link to a page with all of the 5,200 lb axles we carry. We don't carry every single axle available so if you don't see the specs your trailer needs you'd want to find a local trailer shop to you who can order you in the correct dimension axles.
