Does Deka Lead Quick-Disconnect Battery Terminal Work on Diesel Engines

Will the Deka Lead Quick-Disconnect Battery Terminal - Universal Polarity part # DW05312 work for a Diesel? We had our Colorado set up for towing but the 12V Outlet they installed for the braking system does not work when we disconnect the battery. We were told that the solenoid usually used is not strong enough for the diesel and that we should use a Perko switch. As there are several options for Perko switches, we are wondering what to buy...Thank you for your help!

The Deka Lead Quick-Disconnect Battery Terminal # DW05312 would work well for you. It does not have any type of solenoid for activation so that wouldn't be a concern at all. You'd manually disconnect the terminal using the thumb screw.
