5th Wheel Base Rail Installation in 1989 Dodge Ram Long-Bed Pickup
Question:
The king pin hitch for $309 wheel this fit my long bed 1989 dodge cummins ? Will the rails be in east to west or north to south I drill 10 holes there the bed how many hrs on avg to set this hitch up ???

For your 1989 Dodge Ram long-bed pickup we have many 5th wheel hitch options that are shown on the linked page.
The installation base rails will run side-to-side in the bed (east-west) and these are standardized. You can use any brand of standard 5th wheel hitch in any brand of base rails. The lowest-cost base rail kit is the Reese Universal kit # RP30035. For a wiring harness you can use # 20023.
If you prefer the all-in-one option from Pro Series, their hitch and universal base rail kit # PS30128, this will work for you too. Figure 5 to 6 hours total install time.
