Hello, I have a Casita 17foot Spirit Deluxe Travel Trailer and tow it with a Toyota Tundra truck with a Leer Canopy. Will the Stromberg Carlson Bike Bunk Trailer Mounted Bike Rack Carrier for A-Frame Trailers work on my trailer if carrying 2 bikes? Thanks.

The Stromberg Carlson Bike Bunk Trailer-Mounted Bike Rack Carrier # CC-275 will fit on A-frame trailers so long as the available free space on the frame allows installation at one of three specific outside-to-outside frame widths. Those widths are 12-, 32- and 52-inches as shown in the linked photo. These various fits are made possible by choosing how the angled legs are installed; either both inward, one inward or both outward. Please refer to the linked photo.

If you confirm you have frame access for at least one of these dimensions you can mount the Bike Bunk to allow you to install any RV-rated bike carrier, such as the Swagman Trailhead # S63381, shown in the linked video. Based on the Bike Bunk's mounting point you will need to determine how much space you have for a carrier and bikes without interfering with your turning clearance.

Another option that will cost less and completely avoid the clearance issue is to install a front-mounted trailer hitch on the Tundra. If for example you have a 2017 Tundra you can bolt on Draw-Tite front hitch # 65080 and the use the Bike Wing or another 2-inch rack of your preference. The front hitch requires no drilling and includes all hardware.

The front hitch also means that you could use other hitch accessories such as a fixed cargo carrier like # 63153 or a folding model like # C18151. You could also use a hitch-mount snowplow like # K2AVAL8219 if you ever needed to. Plus a front hitch makes maneuvering the trailer into a storage position a whole lot easier. I suggest giving this idea some thorough consideration since it will save you money, add versatility and avoid the risk of the bike rack contacting your Leer truck cap.
