Weight Distribution System Recommendation for 2018 Vintage Cruiser 23BHS

Question:

I have a 2015 yukon denali xl. I have just purchased a 2018 vintage cruiser 23bhs with a hitch weight of 480 and dry weight of 4,253. There are 2 x 20 LP tanks and the grey and blank tanks are 33 gals each. the freshwater has a 27 gal capacity. My question is what do you suggest I purchase for the anti sway hitch system. thank you!

The best way to pick out a weight distribution system is to base it off of the loaded tongue weight of the setup when it is loaded and ready to tow. This figure also includes the weight of any cargo behind the rear axle of the tow vehicle. I attached a help article on determining tongue weight for you to check out as well. You will want the loaded tongue weight of your setup to fall right in the middle of the tongue weight range of the system you use.

Considering your dry tongue weight of 480 lbs and what is most likely the capacity of your 2015 GMC Yukon the best system we'll have is the Strait Line part # RP66084. This system has a tongue weight rating of 600 to 1,200 lbs and features only sway control that works to fight sway before it starts.

For a 2 inch ball you would want part # A-90 and for a 2-5/16 inch ball # 19286.
