How appropriate is this trailer for carrying very light weights at highway speeds? I am considering this trailer for carrying a recumbent tricycle weighing less than 75 pounds. Would the trailer bounce a lot?

For a recumbent trike the Detail K2 Mighty Multi Utility Trailer # K2MMT4X6 would do a great job. It would just be a matter of securing the trike to the trailer. We have the SportRack Cam Buckle Cinch Straps - 1" x 12' - 233 lbs - Qty 2 # SR0701 which will hold your trike secure without the risk of overtightening and bending anything.

The trailer will ride almost like it is empty with so little weight, but it won't bounce around too badly unless the weather conditions would already be an issue for towing.

The best option will be the Fulton Hi-Mount Spare Tire Carrier #FSTC1000301. This can be mounted to the front section of the bed on your Apogee Adapt-X 300 AT44FR, but may require drilling to get installed.
