Cinching tie-downs secure your gear to a cargo carrier or roof rack. Each durable polypropylene strap has a chrome-plated cam buckle that holds the strap tight over your cargo. And vinyl buckle guards prevent scratches on your gear. 700 lbs Max load.
Features:
Specs:
Note: Tie-down straps must be chosen according to their safe working load limit (WLL). The weight of the secured cargo must not exceed the combined WLL of the straps being used. For example, if you are using straps with a WLL of 500 lbs each to tie down a load weighing 1,000 lbs, then you need at least 2 straps to safely secure that load. It is recommended that you always use straps in pairs.

Today we're going to be taking a look at the SportRack Sports Gear Cargo Strap. These are the 12-foot version, part number SR0701. The SportRack straps are made of a very durable, polypropylene material, and they have a chrome plated buckle here, for securing your strap. Also included here is this vinyl buckle guard. This is going to rest up against whatever you are securing to prevent any scratches that might be made from the back side of the buckle. The polypropylene strap is a one-inch wide strap and it's 12-foot long.
It offers a strap break strength of 700 pounds, and a working load limit of 233 pounds. SportRack will also offer you a limited lifetime warranty on the product. Now that we've gone over the features of the strap, let's go ahead and . we're going to use a generator today, let's go ahead and strap down our generator and show you how these work. We'll want to uncoil our strap and start feeding it through our anchor points. Now the way our buckle protector works is that we'll slide the strap through that first, just like that.
Then we'll want to press our cam buckle to open that. With that open, we can bring our strap through. We'll then want to pull out the excess, being sure that it engages whatever item we're going to be holding, and we'll pull to tension it. I found one way to get the most tension on it is to push in on the strap this way, as you're pulling this way. Now we'll just secure our extra strap here. Releasing our strap is very simple.
All we have to do is hit our cam button here, and pull out to get the slack we need. That will complete today's look at the SportRack Sports Gear Cargo Strap, part number SR0701. .

If you want to stop the strap from whistling in the wind, simply make sure it has a twist or two in the strap before securing, this will eliminate the windy whistling sound. This product perform well for a 30 day expedition, on the car 24 hours a day with multiple weather patterns etc. No issues at all
Good for light duty, such as securing a tarp around whatever I've carrying in the back of my truck. I wouldn't trust them to tie down heavy loads. They are worth the money for light duty.
I ordered these straps to hold a LCD TV in my camper when traveling. They look great but will not use them for some time as I am waiting for trailer to come from the dealer.
Excellent product. I particularly like the pads under the buckle to keep from scratching the underside surface.
Great service, fast delivery and excellent product. Etrailer is my first source for my trailer needs.
Great quality for great price and fast shipping

Great, I would buy them again.
My main point in this review is to say what amazing customer service and help I got over the phone. You rarely get someone that is both nice and knowledgeable about a product online. I highly recommend
Fit perfectly
Good strap
It is an excellent product, after getting this; I ordered another one
Great price and good quality
These were a great help building the bike / kayak rack for my 55 chevy truck
Great product & price.
Up-to date status & quick shipping.
Would definitely use etrailer again!
I bought several Erickson Tie-Down Rope w/ Ratchets to allow me to lift/store my truck cap. Best value and quality I found anywhere. Makes this job so much easier -I was using standard ratchet straps which I had to unwind (can only ratchet a little before it becomes "full". Used a couple of 2x4s under the cap and 2 of the SportRack Cam Buckle Cinch Straps to keep the cap attached to the 2x4s.
Don't go to Walmart - prices and selection were much better here!
I used this to tie down some cargo in the back of my pickup, and when I got to my destination (about 350 miles), it was already frayed in several spots. When I checked the specs on the straps, I realized I hadn't ordered ones strong enough for what I wanted. They are great for short distances and lighter weight, and I've used them several times for that.
It does the job holding my ladder in place on my roof rack. However it is a bit annoying to have to wrap it around as opposed to something which clamps down on the load. Also the straps fray making it difficult to put through the metal clasp.
2 long straps, very good, strong quality, buckles that fit tightly. Will be used to hang up a kayak on a wood beam. Even looks good, green color. Strap feeds through a small protective pad, so the buckle cannot rub against anything. End of strap is cut at an angle, pointed, sealed so that it is thin and feeds easily through the buckle.
Used the straps to secure a hot tub cover. Worked great but I had to fasten hooks as the straps did not have the hooks option. Would have purchased hooks if available.
Strap is good. Latches are okay. Looks like it would rust if exposed to the elements.
These are good for short haul and light weights such as securing a tarp over something you're hauling. I would not use them for securing heavy objects in my pickup truck. For light duty, they're worth the price.
Glad I got the 15' version. I used them for extra security on fastening a Rola expandable bag on the top of my Carpod carrier. The Rola bag fastening system is secure front to back but the SportRack straps provided the peace of mind I wanted for side to side. The straps never loosened over a 3200 mile trip. The buckles are protected somewhat by an attached flap. That flap is very flimsy and ripped immediately where there is an opening for the strap. The flap remained in place and provided the protection for the cargo but better material in the flap would have appreciated.
The products ordered were great and worked as promised as was the customer service, as I have come to expect from trailer, which I why I keep coming back.
