The Tekonsha Primus IQ Trailer Brake Controller # TK90160 has the NC flashing and then changes to just the dot because it does not see a trailer connected. This simply means there isn't enough of a draw on the brake controller output wire to show a trailer connection. I've attached the installation details that outline this error.
This often means either the vehicle side trailer connection or the trailer side wiring connection has a weak connection, normally due to corrosion or debris. You can use some sand paper or steel wool on those connectors and then use dielectric grease like # 11755 to keep moisture and debris out of the connections.
To test without a trailer, use an incandescent circuit tester like # PTW2993 on your 5 o'clock pin on your 7-way.
