Will this mount easily and what is the anticipated clearance from the ground? Also, is a 2 inch receiver standard?

The Draw-Tite Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver # 65052 is not a confirmed fit for your 2010 Chevy Suburban Z71. The Z71 is excluded from their fit, so I recommend the Curt # C31012 instead. It will required drilling and some trimming of the front air dam.

The 2 inch receiver opening is standard for all front mounted hitch applications. This will hang down about 2 inches from the bottom of your air dam to help you determine your ground clearance. I've attached a video of a similar install to assist.

Although both the Curt #C77NR and #C37BR both look to be identical there is a small difference in the #C77NR that allows it to be compatible with 2022 and 2023 Kia Niro models, whereas the #C37BR is only compatible with 2022 models.

We carry a front hitch for your 2010 Chevy Silverado 1500 for that you would want, part #65052. This hitch has a line pull capacity of 9,000 lbs and a tongue weight capacity of 500 lbs so as long as you stay under that you will be just fine.
