Troubleshooting Tire and Bearing Damage on a 5th Wheel Trailer
Question:
On my fifth wheel all the tires are wearing very well except for the passenger side rear. On the last trip it started wearing very badly on the outside edge and basically ruin the tire. I noticed that the Hub was very hot also and when I got home I examined the wheel bearings. They were starting to burn and looked as though they were about to fail. Could the excess heat from the wheel bearings have caused this tire to wear out on the outside edge?

It sounds like you have a suspension problem on the rear passenger side of your 5th wheel trailer.
If your suspension is damaged so much that it caused the tire to sit at an angle then that would explain the wear on the outside. If the problem persisted long enough that would also be the reason why your bearings were starting to burn and fail.
Check your suspension and if it all looks good then the only other thing would be that the hub wasn't tightened all of the way which would cause the tire to sit at an abnormal angle and the bearings wouldn't have been sitting snug inside the hub.
