Tekonsha Prodigy RF Wireless Trailer Brake Controller Wont Pair on a Mercedes-Benz GL-Class
Question:
I am having trouble pairing my Tekonsha Prodigy wireless brake controller. I know it is in working order because I tried it with a friend’s pick up. I am able to pair it to the step where I release the manual override and boost button as it has count down from P5 to PA. The next step is where I have issues. I step on the brake pedal and hold it but I am not getting the flashing 00. Can you please tell me how I can fix this? Thank you.

The issue you are experiencing is very common on German vehicle such as Mercedes-Benz and Volkswagen. The problem is that there is not enough load on the system to allow for the Tekonsha Prodigy RF Wireless Trailer Brake Controller part # TK94FR to work properly. However, the load issue is usually fixed by using part # 20142.
