Recommendation for Custom Wedge to Fit Curt E16 Hitch and Lippert Turning Point Pin Box
Question:
I purchased a Curt E16 hitch. My Grand Design Fifth Wheel is equipped with the Turning Point Pin Box. The universal wedge that came with the trailer does not fit properly. Using the short side of the wedge, the wedge hits the king pin before the shoulders of the wedge make contact with the hitch funnel. Is there a different wedge that will accommodate the Curt E16 and Turning Point Pin Box combination?

Your best option for using the needed wedge for your Curt E16 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch for Nissan Titan XD Towing Prep Package - Slide Bar Jaw - 16K # C16515-16026 and the Lippert Turning Point Pin Box is with the Custom Wedge # C16991. The Reese Sidewinder Pin Box, for which this wedge is designed, is extremely similar to the Lippert Turning Point model. So while these two items have not been officially tested together, I am confident this will work and will be your best solution. This custom wedge is confirmed to fit your Curt E16 5th Wheel Hitch.
