Thule Cargo Box that Clears Rear Hatch on a 2014 Subaru Outback Wagon
Question:
Can this roof carrier fit the Subaru Outback 2014 and still allow you to use moonroof and rear hatch?

We no longer carry the Thule Atlantis 1600 XT part TH686BXT therefore you will need to do a bit of measuring to determine fitment. In order to determine if the box will allow for the rear hatch to open on your 2014 Subaru Outback Wagon you will need to measure from the center of the front crossbar to the seam where the rear hatch/roof meet and compare that to the distance from the center of the front mounting clamps to the rear end of the box.
For a Thule cargo box that we have confirmed to clear the rear hatch on your Outback Wagon, I recommend using the Thule Pulse Large Rooftop Cargo Box part # TH615. I have attached the review video that shows the hatch clearance for you as well. The box is 76" long x 33" wide x 16-1/2" tall and offers up to 16 cu ft of storage capacity.
Unfortunately, we do not recommend opening the sunroof/moonroof with anything attached to the crossbars including a cargo box.
