For this mounting hardware in wood - Mounting Hardware for Tow-Rax Removable Wheel Chock - Wood Floor Item # TWSPWFKW - how thick does the wood need to be how long are the pieces that screw into the wood floor?

The part # TWSPWFKW comes with screws and anchors that are 1 inch long. Ideally your floor thickness would be right at 1 inch thick.

I spoke to my contact at Tow Rax and she told me that to install the Mounting Hardware #TWSPWFKW you will have to use a 3/8 inch drill bit and they are the screws and anchors are 1 inch long. There is no wood that comes with this hardware kit.

Actually on brake magnets for trailers either wire can be used as the power or the ground so the colors don't really mean anything. Most likely the magnet manufacturer just put what ever color was most convenient on your trailer.

Most likely the new axle has self-adjusting brakes which when new are known for feeling pretty weak. The good news is that you can keep applying them over and over while the trailer is traveling and they will tighten and get more sensitive feeling.
