4-Bike Hanging-Style Hitch Rack for Use in 1-1/4-Inch and 2-Inch Hitches

Question:

What is the weight of the Thule Hitching Post Pro - Folding Tilting 4 bike Rack TH934XTR? I am a 54 year old woman and would be attaching and taking the bike rack on and off my 2016 Highlander by myself. Thanks for any help.

Thule's Hitching Post Pro hitch bike rack # TH934XTR has a shipping weight of 41-lbs, so by the time you remove the packaging materials from the equation the rack's actual weight is right around 38-lbs. This is a fairly average weight for a 4-bike rack. This USA-made 4-bike carrier offers excellent value and the flexibility to work well in both 1-1/4-inch hitches and the 2-inch hitches made for your 2016 Toyota Highlander.

For a similar 4-bike hanging-style rack that weighs less you might consider the Malone Runway 4, part # MAL72VR, which weighs only 28-lbs. This rack includes an anti-wobble locking hitch pin (the Thule rack does not). You can see more on this quality rack option by clicking on the linked video.

Would this rack work with the Stromberg Carlson I just received from you on a 17BH Coachmen and towed with a 2014 Chevy Tahoe?

If you're referring to the Stromberg Carlson # CC-275, then yes the Thule Hitching Post Pro # TH934XTR is compatible and will work well. You just need to make sure you stay below the Bunk's 100 pound weight capacity - keeping in mind that the rack itself (around 40 pounds) cuts into that limit as well.
