No Running Lights on a 2010 Nissan Frontier
Question:
I have 2010 Nissan frontier that had factory tow package. everything worked but then one day no running lights everything else works. I ordered 2 blue relays.went to install and in the front passenger panel it only had 1 blue relay and a brown relay. changed blue relay, still no running lights. why would it only have 1 blue relay installed and could it be the brown relay? everything worked before.

If you indeed had the factory tow package on your 2010 Nissan Frontier then the trailer wiring relays would be located under the hood in the fuse panel next to the battery. If the relays are located under the drivers side kick panel then your vehicle was not equipped with the factory tow package. There are two blue relay's that will be needed if you are using a 7-way trailer connector but only one blue relay will be needed if you are just using a 4-way trailer connector. If you need any of these relays then you can use part # C57000 to add/replace them. I recommend switching the blue relays around or just installing both to see if that fixes your problem.
Another possible cause of the running lights not working would be a blown fuse. Under the hood of your truck in the fuse box next to the battery you will want to check both the # 32 and # 37 fuse to ensure they are intact as they are both associated with trailer lights. If all else fails you will want to take the vehicle to a Nissan dealer to have the problem diagnosed.
