Will Timbren # TTORTUN4 Fit a 2006 Toyota Tundra with a Spacer Block Between Leaf Springs and Axle

Question:

I have a 2006 Toyota Tundra Limited Double-Cab 4x4, and I am looking at the Timbren rubber bump-stop “Springs” at the rear leaf springs to keep the truck more level when towing. I looked under my truck, and there is a 2-inch block lift installed between the axle and the leaf springs - the blocks are under the leaf springs. Does that mean the space between the top of the leaf springs and the bottom of the frame rails is the same as “stock” so that the Timbren rubber “springs” will fit, or am I out of luck?

Helpful Expert Reply:

Since the spring attaches to the top of your leaf spring stack and your spacer is under the leaf spring stack, the Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System # TTORTUN4 will fit just fine on your 2006 Toyota Tundra.

If the spacer was between where the system would install and the frame or if you had flipped your axle so that it was on top of your leaf springs then that would be a different story.

Please note that any suspension enhancement is designed to work with a suspension system that is in good working order. Also, even though this system is rated for 6,000 lbs it will not increase the weight capacity of your Tundra if it is below 6,000 lbs.

I have attached an installation video on a 2007 Tundra for you to check out.
