Recommended Spare Tire for Cargomate Trailer with 15 Inch Wheels

Question:

Hello! I have a Cargomate TXLEEH58SA trailer and am looking for a spare tire/rim combo that would replace the current set in the event of a flat. What kind of tire/wheel do you recommend? Thank you for your time!

I was able to find some information on your Cargomate TXLEEH58SA trailer. From what I found, it appears your tire size is 15 and your load range is B based on the factory tires.

We have only have a load range C option and it is the Loadstar ST205/75D15 Bias Trailer Tire with 15" White Wheel - 5 on 4-1/2 - Load Range C # AM3S640DX. This is rated for loads of up to 2150 lbs at 50 psi, it's okay to increase capacity. The great news is that these have a max speed of 81 mph rather than the usual max speed of 65 mph.

If you don't have the factory tires, I recommend looking at the sidewall and seeing if you can get more size information as you want your spare to be as close to the regular tires as possible. If you have matching tires, I recommend rotating your spare to give you best wear. Bolt pattern is another factor that you will need to confirm. I've attached some articles to assist.

If you want to replace all your tires, I recommend that you change to a radial tire like the Provider ST205/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire with 15" Vesper Silver Mod Wheel - 5 on 4-1/2 - Load Range D # MX97FR rated for loads up to 2,150 lbs at 65 psi and speeds up to 81 mph. These tires come with a 2 year warranty that includes roadside assistance.

I've linked a page to all your combination options. Let me know if you have further questions and I'd be happy to help.
