There is one important measurement that you will need when installing the Reese Quick-Install Custom Base Rails and Installation Kit, part # RP50026-58 to your 2011 Ford F-250. That measurement is for placement of the front mounting rail. The measurement will be from the rear edge of the bed of the truck, with the tailgate removed, to the inside edge of the front mount base rail. This measurement will be 54-3/16 inches. There is a diagram in the included installation instructions that will show where the measurement will need to be taken.

After you know where the front rail will be located you will want to measure from the sides of the bed an equal amount so the front mount base rail is centered (side-to-side) in the truck bed.

To install the rear mount base rail, you will install the fifth wheel hitch into the installed front rail and attach the rear rail to the hitch and lower down onto the truck bed. This will show you where the rear mounting rail will attach to the bed of your truck. Mark where the holes will need to be drilled.

Before the rear rail is installed to the truck bed you will want to do some final measuring to make sure the rails are square. We will start off by measuring the equal distance between the rails. Then, we will check the left and right distances from the sides of the bed to make sure it is centered in the bed like we did before. Finally, we will check the distances from one end of the front rail across to the opposite end of the rear rail on both ends and make sure the distances are equal. Once you have them equal on both sides you will know that the base rails are square.

I am including a link to the installation instructions on the Reese custom base rails and installation kit.
