High-Low Hitch Adapters for Use with Tow Bar
Question:
Im waiting for my RM-676 tow bar to arrive to tow Jeep behind RV/ how much difference in height can there be between centerpoint of tow attachment on d rings and the receiver hitch?

Expert Reply:
The two ends of any tow bar should be within 3-inches above or below dead-level. Any more height difference than that can lead to the arms binding, which could affect tracking.
We offer many 2-inch high/low hitch adapters, all shown on the linked page, that make it easy to level your tow bar for best performance. Just measure the height difference between the hitch and D-rings and choose the adapter that gets you to a level position by providing the appropriate rise or drop.
For instance, Roadmaster # RM-076 offers either 6-inches of rise or 6-inches of drop.
