Looking for 5th wheel hitch to install in 2017 F250 short bed with factory puck system, will use to pull 2018 artic wolf 5th wheel camper weight is around 11000, this is my first 5th wheel need advice on hitch required

For your 2017 Ford F-250 6-3/4 foot bed, I recommend the Curt A16 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider for Ford Towing Prep Package # C16520-16020. This hitch will give you a nice sliding hitch that will have a 3 point indicator system to confirm proper coupling and will also have the adapter for the puck system in your factory rail kit. It will give you 12 inches of travel between the two locked positions for turning clearance when needed.

If you want a hitch that moves automatically to take the worry out of towing, I recommend the Demco Hijacker Autoslide # DM8550024. This 18K hitch will fit in your factory pucks and will automatically move as needed so you don't need to leave the cab of your truck. It will move as you turn to ensure you won't have contact with the cab of your truck. This hitch will travel 14 inches from front to back.

I recommend the wiring harness # DM8555002 to add a 7-way to the bed of your truck. This will give you easy connection access and a clean look versus wire draped over the tailgate to your bumper connection.
