Can the Head of Curt Q20 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch with Ford OEM Legs # C16530-16017 Be Moved by Hand
Question:
there is some side to side pivoting of the head but absolutely none front to back .. the head came pre assembled . i removed it from the body , the shaft pivots in a somewhat circular motion but not front to back that i can see ????????????? please help . it fits the Ford pucks perfectly though and the height is just right !!

I spoke with my contact at Curt and he said that what you are experiencing with your Curt Q20 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch with Ford OEM Legs # C16530-16017 is normal. This hitch is not designed to be able to be moved by hand. To help prevent movement and chucking (noise), this hitch was made with very tight clearances. Because of that it's not going to be able to be moved front to back by hand.
