Comparing the Timbren Suspension Enhancement to other Helper Springs Options for 2007 Tundra

Question:

I have a 2007 Toyota Tundra 5.7L V-8 SR5 4dr DCab short bed with the towing package and will be pulling a 5th wheel trailer, 9000# loaded. Id like to add a little extra support for towing and beside getting heavier 10 ply tires, Id like to know which product would serve my needs better. The Timbren TTORTUN4 or the Air Lift Aircell Custom Helper Springs Kit AL52210? Thanks for your advice.

Helpful Expert Reply:

For your 2007 Toyota Tundra, I highly recommend the Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System part # TTORTUN4. The Timbren springs will be much more durable than the Air Lift AirCell Custom Helper Springs Kit which was discontinued. The durability will result in more support and a longer life. The Timbren have also produced much greater feedback from our customers and are currently one of the most popular suspension enhancements we carry.

I have attached a review video of the Timbrens for you as well. These springs are very strong which can also mean stiff so you may want to consider the SuperSprings SumoSprings # SSR-610-54 which will give you support for your trailer but are more forgiving if you don't have the 5th wheel trailer connected.
