Recommended Suspension Enhancement for 2017 Toyota Tacoma 4x4 with 4 Leaf Springs

Question:

Looking to order either Sumo Springs or Timbrem overload springs for my truck. I have a 2017 Toyota Tacoma, Limited, 4x4, crew Cab 4 door short bed with 4 leaf springs. I see some for 3 leaf springs however not for 4 leaf springs. Can you advise which set I need for my truck? Also, which set is the most popular, preferred?

For your 2017 Toyota Tacoma, the SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs - Rear Axle # SSR-612-47 are my recommendation. This is a popular option and will give you support while fitting your 4 leaf springs. In my opinion these are better for both loaded and unloaded vehicles because they have more of the progressive load support.

If you prefer Timbren which are a little more stiff which is great for loaded beds but not as great when unloaded I recommend the Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System # TTORTUN4 which are a fit for the 4 leaf springs.
